Circe Family Tree

Background

My name is Brett Circe. This family tree is a work of passion that I began shortly after I found out I was going to have a child in 1999. Originally starting with just the Circe name I traced it back to the year 1630. Today, the Family Tree site includes many lineages of surnames (Circe, Romeo, Gatto, Grum, Minniti, Viscusi, Nelson, Polinski, Greco, Newman, Jervis, Watson, and more) connected through marriage making the tree look more like a web, making the internet a perfect medium for its presentation. 

To date I have been contacted by over 250 people through the tree, many of them connected, many simply researching their tree. I have connected with several distant relatives via email including an 8th cousin. I started with a database on my computer which I constantly updated through research and information from relatives. However, in 2016 I migrated the Family Tree file to the cloud.

I chose MyHeritage because it lets me collaborate with family members. MyHeritage lets you create, read, update and delete members of the tree, and add content such as photos, videos, documents, news articles, comments, etc. This way we can collaborate together on the same Family Tree in the cloud!

You do have to create a free account. This will connect your “profile” in the tree and then show you the relationship you have with everyone else in the tree.  They will also try to “up-sell” you extra services, like research of ancestry reports. You do NOT have to pay for this site, just use the free version. If there is something you want to research let me know.
